Anger is such a waste of time

I mean, really.

It's the bad side of humanity. The beast within. The result of a fight or flight reaction. Anger is everything that we don't want to be. Ugly darkness boiling out from within us. Anger is not rational, though we can rationalize it later.

So, why are we angry? Why are so many people so damn mean? There are a thousand thousand reasons for this, I suppose. The greatest question I guess shouldn't be, "why are we angry?"

"What good does anger bring to us?" That's the question.

Just today I've seen pissed off parents berating their children (and using double negatives and ain'ts to boot, poor kids); I've seen a woman get an earfull from another woman following a near collision in the mall parking lot; I was told a story this morning about a gentleman responding to "I hope your day goes better" with "stick it up your nose."

So I ask you, which of these situations has furthered the goal of humanity. After all, we've only got 5 billion more years before the sun burns out. How much time do we want to spend trying to keep our fellow man down? Bastards.

We need to smile in the face of anger. Show the people that they're wasting their time with their foolish temper tantrums. The unwashed masses must be educated on the futility of their negativity. I'm not talking free love and flowers here, I'm just talking about being nice to people.

So where do we start? Right here. Repeat after me.

I'm going to be nice to people. Mean people suck. I don't want to suck. I won't be mean.

Now, go my brothers and sisters. Stop the suck.

Before it's too late.

PS. People sound REALLY stupid when they're on their cellphone yelling at nobody.

What would New York export if the rest of the world didn't need mean people. The mean people union (MPU) will be after your head if they read this post.

That's ok, I've already got Pat Robertson and NABLA gunning for me for reasons I don't care to disclose.
